Many movies of talks by Alan Kay on this site have machine-generated transcript. While automatic transcription does a good job converting speech to a sequence of words, it is hard to read because generated transcript lacks proper punctuation and capitalization. We are looking for volunteers who can clean up transcript.

This presents a great opportunity for students. They can learn about profound ideas in computing in context and also learn typical phrases and styles in English. The students don't necessarily have to have good listening skills as all words are transcribed; it only has to be carefully edited as text. Perhaps a class at university can assign a movie or a segment of it to a student to clean up the transcript. At the end of semester the students can even present the ideas in the movie.
